i was wondering if something could be aded to the zone where say if someone here posted a topic and i replied i was wondering if like the private message thingy the zone could email you and say something along the lines of
hi stargate. you have receeved a reply to a message you posted. view it at such and such
what ya think?

I like this idea. Also, I wonder if it would be possible to set it up so you could kind of subscribe to topics so that you know if someone has posted after you. I know that's been mentioned in the past, but I don't remember what the outcome was.
I agree with both ideas.
I think both ideas were suggested a while back, and I think both ideas are good, but it just sort of got dropped. I really love both these ideas, especially the subscribing to topics, and what about a feature where you could set it up to either receive or not see topics you didn't subscribe to? I mean, maybe it could be a checkbox where when you were arrowing through the topics, you had the option to hide the topics you didn't subscribe to?

I think the issue with doing this is that if you are a regular poster, and you get a lot responses to your posts, then you inbox could potentially be flooded with reply notifications.
yes that's a isue! but say you only got one reply per message? then you could post again to that topic for another reply
sugar the idea of subscribing to topics is really good! lots of forums do that now
don't think we haven't been thinking about that. Actually, we've liked this idea since we've first heard of it. It's just...honestly? A lot of us are really busy right now. Especially the admins, and they're the true coders on this cite, but I mean, they have work, and classes, but I will remind them of this again, because it is a good idea, and we'll see if we can get it implemented sometime in the near future. We'll keep you all posted!

Ya. This one's been on the list for ages. You'd get one message per topic until you posted again or resubscribed to the thread, which is how most boards do it.
actually this does sound like a really good idea. that said could it also be coded that users could turn that facility off if they so desired? it's just that while i can see why people would want this feature, on a personal note it would piss the hell off out of me! hehehe.
Ah guys, you're refering to a "Watch topic" and "Reply notification" thing on these boards? I'm all for it!
So am I. Especially if oyu need opinions urgently. I love this idea.
I agree simply because i forget to come back to the boards so if we could subscribe to topics and get replies to our posts that would help us respond
